Assistance For Everyone

  • Nevada 211: They help with food, shelter, utilities, and other services. Call them at 211 on the phone or go online to
  • Three Square: They help with food.
  • Behind the Scenes: They help with mental issues, serious illness, and injury.
  • S.A.F.E. House:  They are currently operating and serving survivors of domestic violence with shelter, counseling, and advocacy.  Tele/virtual available too.  All free. If you or anyone is experiencing violence in the hole, we are here and have a 24-hour hotline. Please call 702-564-3227.

Assistance For Union Members Only

  • The Actors Fund (not just for actors): They help with various things including finances for people who work in the entertainment industry.
  • ULAN: They assist with utilities, rent, food, etc. You have to be referred to ULAN by the Union. If you are interested in accessing ULAN help, then please email Jackie Esqueda at or call and leave a message at the front desk (702) 873-3450 option 8.
  • IATSE CARES is a network of members to help our most vulnerable who are sick, elderly, or have a compromised immune system. Members can sign up at to volunteer or seek assistance.

Culinary Information

The Culinary Health Center currently does not have the ability to test for the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

What this means to you:

Before going to the Culinary Health Center (CHC), please call 702-790-8000. When you call to schedule an appointment or go to the CHC you’ll be asked questions.

These questions are based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines.

If you’re cleared, you can continue to make your appointment.

If you need further clinical help, you will be connected with a nurse or you will see the clinical team.

You will not be tested for COVID-19 at the Culinary Health Center.

If you are severely ill and need to be tested, the clinical team will let you know what you need to do.

The Emergency Room (ER) is the only place right now that can test for COVID-19.

They will only give you the test if you have all of the symptoms and meet the CDC guidelines.

The Board of Trustees of the IATSE National Health & Welfare Fund is aware of the devastating job losses and resulting financial consequences for the Fund’s participants due to the COVID-19 pandemic and understands the importance of continued health coverage during this crisis. Work in the industry came to a virtual stop in March. This shutdown has an impact on continuing health coverage, which will be fully felt for coverage starting July 1 for Plan C. The Board has therefore adopted the following measures to assist participants in Health Plans A and C in continuing their coverage under the Fund:


Annuity Withdrawal For Hardships

Annuity hardship withdrawals have been extended to include a new category of hardship withdrawals to assist those of you who have been affected by COVID-19. If you have lost work, been laid off, or had other losses or expenses due to the virus, you are eligible for immediate withdrawal in the amount of your loss.
